Privacy policy
How TradesWork and the TradesWork Field app handle information.

In short
- We collect what the app needs to run your company's jobs, and nothing for advertising.
- No tracking, no ads, no ad or analytics SDKs, and we never sell data.
- Location is used only while you're on shift, in the foreground, after you agree.
- You can delete your account in the app or on the web; personal fields are erased within 30 days.
Who is responsible
TradesWork provides field service software to trade businesses (for example HVAC, plumbing and electrical companies). Each business that uses TradesWork decides what information about its own customers and staff goes into it. For that information, the business is the controller and TradesWork processes it on the business's behalf. For account and sign-in information, TradesWork is responsible.
What the TradesWork Field app collects
All of the information below is linked to the signed-in user and used only to provide the app's features. None of it is used for tracking, advertising, analytics or personalization.

| Precise location | Only while the person is on shift, after an in-app notice and their consent, for dispatch and arrival times. The app uses location in the foreground only. Tracking can be paused at any time. |
| Photos and videos | Job and equipment photos the person takes or picks, and a profile photo. |
| Audio | Voice notes the person records. In-home sales conversations are recorded only when the customer agrees, and that consent is recorded. |
| Support messages | Feedback and support messages sent from the app. |
| Work content | Job notes, estimates, signatures, forms and findings the person enters, including details about the company's own customers. |
| Identifiers | An account ID and session tokens, and a push-notification token used to say a new visit was assigned. This is not an advertising identifier. |

The app does not collect health, contacts, browsing history, purchases or diagnostic data, and it has no crash-reporting or analytics software today. Customer payments are recorded as company records (amount and method); card details go to Stripe directly.
Service providers
These companies process information on our behalf, only to run the service. They are not used for tracking.

Retention and account deletion
You can delete your account in the app (Account › Delete my account) or on the web at tradesos-three.vercel.app/app/delete-account. Access ends right away. Your name, email, location history and profile are erased within 30 days. Work records you created (jobs, notes, invoices and similar) stay with your employer as their business records.
Information a business enters about its own customers is kept and deleted according to that business's instructions.
Your choices
- Location: you can decline or pause location sharing at any time; dispatch features that need it will say so.
- Recording: in-home sales conversations are recorded only with the customer's agreement.
- AI: AI assists run only when your company turns AI on and you start one.
- Access and correction: ask your company's office, or contact us using the details on our support page.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit. Sign-in uses one-time links and codes rather than passwords, and sensitive credentials are stored encrypted. Each business can only see its own data.
Children
TradesWork is a business tool and isn't directed to children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell account owners.
